Hello friends!

I added a TON of new products to my little store recently. Lots of new prints, shirts, hoodies, and skins for ipods/iphones/laptops/etc. Seriously, you could own the shirt pictured up above. Just imagine!

And hey, here’s a little peek at part of an illustration in progress…

SPX! I’ll be there! This weekend! In Bethesda, MD!

I’ll be exhibiting with One Percent Press. Those fellows make some of the best mini comics in the galaxy. I’ll have a bunch of my own mini comics (including the Feral Pizza mini comic which I have, so far, only sold at one convention in another country), NEW SHIRTS (screen printed by hand by YOURS TRULY), original art and other little goodies.

The new shirts, pictured above, will come in a variety of sizes and colors. They look good on both boys and girls and will automatically make anyone who is wearing one the coolest person in the state or province.

I’ve been pretty quiet on the internet lately! Partially because I still haven’t gotten my computer fixed (mooching my roommate’s right now) and partially because I’ve been busy busy busy.

You may recognize this as a panel from a little comic I shared a long time ago. That little comic was just a test, sort of a rough draft of the first few pages of a big long book length comic that I’ve been writing and planning and thumb-nailing and rewriting for a couple of years now. Anyways, I’m finally drawing the damn thing for real and up above is a little sample of how it’s going to look. Updates may be sparse until I get a little further along with this comic (and until I get my computer fixed up), but hang in there friends!

And hey! Thanks so much to everyone that ordered a shirt! I do still have some left, if anyone is still interested.

Hey friends! I’ve got some shirts and mini comics left over from all the conventions I’ve done over the last couple months. Supplies of everything are EXTREMELY limited. I do not plan on printing more shirts or reprinting any of my mini comics anytime soon ( I want to spend some time DRAWING). In this post I’m just going to show off the shirts. I haven’t taken a full inventory of what’s left of my mini comics yet and this post would be way too long if I were to list it all at once anyways.

I’d normally just add all of these items to my store, but because I’m still having some computer/internet issues that make it difficult for me to actually update any other section of my website and because I’m working with a limited stock of items, I’m going to do it the way I did it a long time ago and just list what I’ve got available right here on the ol’ blog. If you’d like to purchase anything, shoot me an email: philintheblanks@gmail.com

It’ll be first come first serve. Please list what you’d like, how many of each item you’d like, and your mailing address. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible with a total and my paypal information. I’ll try to keep this post up to date as certain sizes/colors sell out.

SCREEN-PRINTED SHIRTS$15.00 + shipping
I meant to print these shirts a long time ago but because of technical difficulties and procrastination it didn’t happen until last month. I printed them all myself. I used up all of my curse words and a heck of a lot of time and money printing these, but I’m really happy with how they came out! The shirts were all washed prior to being printed on, so they shouldn’t shrink much more, if at all. Here are some attractive pictures of some attractive friends wearing these attractive shirts. Thanks so much to Britt and Vicki for being mannequins! Click the images for a better look.

Want a better look at the actual image on the shirt? You got it!

Also available in these fine color schemes!

Help me out and buy a shirt or two! My bank account is in sad shape right now and I can’t wear all these shirts myself anyways. Available sizes include Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. Be advised that certain colors might not be available in certain sizes just because supplies really are extremely limited. I’m charging $5.00 for shipping costs. I’ll be sending them out in fancy bubble wrap envelopes to protect them as they travel from me to you. Thanks so much!

shirts and comics for sale!

I printed extra shirts and mini comics because a few people online and some of my local friends expressed interest in buying them. Also, at the moment it looks like I won’t have a table at SPX this year. I’m currently still planning on going, but unless someone out there is willing to sell me a little bit of space at their table, I won’t be bringing most of this stuff down with me so I might as well get rid of it all now. Spread the word!

This & That #3 - $4.00
This & That 3

Brand new, first printing! 36 black and white pages with a screen printed cover. Printed and assembled by hand, so you know these little books have plenty of love in them! It collects some of my comics that have been published in various anthology books, as well as a number of unpublished stories, assorted drawings and single panel cartoons.

Champion T-Shirt - $15.00
champion shirt!

I screen printed all of these by hand on tagless 100% cotton shirts. The shirts were all washed prior to printing so there should be minimal shrinking, if any at all. Available in adult sizes only for now: Small, Medium, and Large. Quantities unfortunately are pretty limited and I have already set a few aside for people. I’m not sure how soon I’ll be printing another batch of these.

This & That #2 - $2.00
This & That 2

I sold out of the first batch of these a while ago and had to do a second printing for MoCCA. 16 pages, black and white, printed and assembled by hand. It collects some of my personal favorite stuff that I drew in 2005-2006, pretty much all just short strips, no longer stories. It features the little champion guy on the cover.

You can get any three for $1.00 or all seven different designs for $2.00. If ordering just three, please specify which three you’d like when you email me!

For $20.00, you can get a shirt, both This & That #2 and #3, all seven different buttons, AND an exclusive super tiny Snowman With A Robot head mini comic, which is 10 full color pages and only 1.25″ tall. If you think you might be cool enough to participate in this deal, please let me know in your email!

Snowman With A Robot Head

I could probably figure out how to set up a fancy “buy now” paypal button for each item, but I’m really pretty excited about drawing and making cool stuff right now and would rather be doing that than fiddling with the computer so if you are interested in buying anything, this is what you do:

If you’d like to order anything, send an email to philintheblanks AT gmail DOT com and let me know what you want, how many, and what size if you are ordering a shirt. I will respond to each email with a total and my paypal address, which you can then send the money to. Please be sure to include your name and address with your paypal payment!

Shipping for any orders that include shirts will be $5.00. Shipping for any order that does not include a shirt will be $2.00. Shirts weigh more than mini comics, plus I’ll be sending them in those fancy envelopes with bubble wrap coating the inside so that they will be protected if the package gets wet on it’s epic journey. The fact that paypal always takes a cut is also factored into the shipping cost. Shipping anywhere other than North America will be a little more, let me know where you are if this is the case and I’ll try to figure out what the cost will be. I always feel bad charging people for shipping, so I will be throwing a few buttons in with every mini comic or shirt order while supplies last

Thanks so very much to everyone who even considers ordering anything!

If by any chance there is anyone reading this that might be able to help me out with a little bit of table space at SPX this year, please let me know! I’ll give you comics, snacks, hugs, and money!

I should also mention that I know there are still a few of you waiting for commissions from a while ago! I halted work on commissions as I was getting ready for MoCCA but am now going to be chaining myself to the drawing table for the foreseeable future. You guys will be getting some neat swag to make up for the delay and to thank you for being so very patient whenever I do finally finish the commissions and mail them out.

Printing on shirts was not an easy first screen printing project! I’m pretty exhausted. I only goofed up a couple of them bad enough that I probably won’t be able to sell them, which is better than I expected things to go.

The color of the shirts isn’t really accurate in these pictures due to dim basement lighting. I’ll take some pictures tomorrow in natural light, hopefully of someone wearing one. I’m keeping the screen around for a while, so if I sell out of this first little run at the MoCCA Fest this weekend I’ll be able to print more for people that want to order online later and for SPX in October (If I ever end up finding some table space…)
