SPX was way too much fun. I’m still laughing and smiling from all the jokes and good times! Up above is a little jam comic I drew with Natasha Allegri and Pen Ward. Definitely click it for a larger version!
I took a bunch of pictures with my phone. Many of them are blurry, but I put a few highlights up on flickr.
To everyone that stopped by to say hello or buy comics or hang out this past weekend: Thanks so much! You guys and girls are the best! It was honestly my best convention experience ever.
There’s a nice little review of my new mini comic, Book Comic, right here. You can still read it over on Top Shelf 2.0 too!
I’m working on new comics already. Gotta get ready for Canzine!.

I’ve got a brand new comic for you to read! The gentlemen over at Top Shelf Productions were kind enough to host the comic on Top Shelf 2.0. Many thanks to Brett Warnock and Leigh Walton for inviting me to contribute to the site.
And hey! SPX! This weekend! I’ll be there! Come visit me at table W46A!
SPX! It’s happening! This weekend!
I’ll be there. Find me at table W46A with my good buddy, Darryl Ayo Brathwaite. I did in fact finish a new mini comic, which I will have with me. It’ll be up online shortly before SPX as well, for those that can’t make it down to Bethesda. I’ll try to give you a heads up when that happens! Maybe…
You see, my computer is having some problems right now and it’s unable to connect to the internet (I’m mooching my roommate’s computer at the moment). I’m going to have to send it off to be repaired and will probably be without a computer of my own for a few weeks. So updates will be a little spotty for a while and I may take a couple of days to respond to emails. Sorry, everyone! On the bright side, I’ll be so bored I’ll have no choice but to draw more comics.
Anyways, I hope to see you this weekend at SPX. Definitely come say hello if you’re there!

Photoshop and I weren’t getting along at all a few nights ago but I’ve still managed to get about half the comic colored. It’s not particularly long or anything though, so I guess it’s almost done! I’m sure you’re tired of seeing glimpses that all look exactly the same so I’m not going to post any more peeks until it’s finished.
Another peek at some work-in-progress.
August was a busy month for me! I moved into a new place, went camping, spent a lot of time with friends, and started working on a few new mini comics. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish them in time for SPX, which is now less than a month away. Here’s a little peek at one of the comics…

Not too long ago Rob Clough reviewed a bunch of my mini comics over on his High-Low blog. Here’s a little excerpt:
He seems most comfortable drawing slightly grotesque caricatures with lots of angles, bushy eyebrows, stubbly facial hair and bulbous noses.
I’ll likely continue posting little peeks and glimpses of what I’m working on over the next few weeks as I crazily try to get ready for SPX. I’ve been pretty active over on INK MOUNTAIN too! I recently conducted interviews with Scott Campbell, Bob Flynn, and Jeremy Sorese.
