HELLO My name is Phil McAndrew and I am an illustrator, cartoonist and writer. I am the author of CRYING IN FRONT OF YOUR DOG AND OTHER STORIES (Uncivilized Books, 2013). I am the illustrator of CAVEBOY DAVE by Aaron Reynolds (Viking, 2016) and MONSTER SCIENCE by Helaine Becker (Kids Can Press, 2016). An art book collecting some of my work was published by Benign Kingdom.

I regularly contribute comics and humor to MAD Magazine. For a while I had my own television show in development with Cartoon Network. I've given talks and written articles about drawing and creativity. I directed a music video. I have a BFA in illustration and drawing from Daemen College. I play in a band with my friends called The Nudes. I currently live in upstate New York with lots of books and trees.

AT THE MOMENT I'm illustrating a graphic novel and taking on as many additional freelance assignments as I can handle.
